– We will present solutions from Norway and Scandinavia to the world, and be inspired by ideas and solutions from the global stage, says CEO in Skift, Bjørn Kjærand Haugland, who will host a TEDxSkift-event from The Climate House at the Natural history museum in Oslo on the 22nd of October, which will be streamed from Skift's webpages.

These short and to the point talks will complement the exhibition at the Climate House Oslo in a good way by giving examples of potential solutions for the green shift, says Brita Slettemark, the leader of the Climate House at the Natural history museum in Oslo.

TED Countdown is a new concept from TED. Taking a step further from the original motto of "ideas worth spreading", TED now seeks to create a platform for sharing the solutions to the climate crisis, ahead of the COP26 in Glasgow next year. The first event launches on October 10th with an international stream from TED Countdown's official webpage.

– As an official network partner of TED Countdown, Skift wants to involve the Norwegian business community in this global effort, both to help reduce emissions towards net zero, and to develop more sustainable business models that can sustain us in the future, says Haugland.

TED Countdowns goal is to find the most effective, evidence-based ideas and solutions to the fundamental challenges we face as a society, within the topics of energy, transport, materials, food and nature, by bringing together scientists, activists, entrepreneurs, urban planners, farmers, CEOs, investors, artists, government officials, and others.

On the 22nd of October, Skift and The Climate House Oslo will present solutions from some of the biggest norwegian companies within their fields, like Statkraft, Snøhetta, Fremtind and Schibsted.
